I was interviewed about my mini-microplastics study, which found a million times more microplastics than previously thought. I was interviewed by KPBS, and the story was picked up by NPR’s national 5:00 news hour.

I was interviewed by KPBS about my study that found an exponential increase in microplastics in the sediment in the Santa Barbara Basin. This interview was played multiple times due to its positive reception by the public.

Maureen Cavanaugh with KPBS Public Broadcasting interviewed me and my colleague Ben Frable about the new exhibit I helped design at Birch Aquarium. The exhibit, Oddities: Hidden Heroes of the Scripps Collections, highlights the preserved specimens in Scripps' four historical oceanographic collections and the amazing adaptations, or superpowers, of many of these sea creatures.

I was interviewed on Southern California Public Radio (a division of NPR) about the marine debris that was complicating the search for the missing Malaysian Airlines flight.
