More Invited Talks:

  • I was asked to give the keynote for the 20th Annual Supply Chain Forum in 2020, hosted by the UCSD Rady School of Management Institute for Supply Excellence and Innovation. I discussed ways to eliminate plastic and waste throughout the supply chain.

  • I was asked to give a talk at the Aquarium of the Pacific that addressed both my scientific research and my experience in scientific communication. I discussed how researching a topic of such public interest has led me to develop a strategy for communicating hard, and often depressing, scientific topics to public audiences.

  • I was asked to give the keynote talk for the annual meeting for The Cordage Institute in 2018. This institute has been around for over 100 years and is made up of rope, cord, and net manufacturers. They wanted me to talk about marine debris, ghost fishing, and how they could help alleviate the problem.
